Silip (Daughters Of Eve)(1985)Horror/Romance

Story of ignorance very common in small isolated barrios in the Philippines. The movie however exaggerated the sexual orientation of the people.

Stars former Ms. Philippines, Ma. Isabel Lopez, including the soft-drink beauties of the late chief exploiter, Dr. Rey Dela Cruz who was murdered sometime in the '90s. It was so disappointing that Ms. Lopez, a UP graduate, used her beauty and brain to trash herself and the institution and country she used to represent.

This movie was produced during the era of the Experimental Cinema of the Philippine when some starlets in local show business were exploited to create sex-oriented movies. Marcos was still in power, and maybe this passed his approval to divert Filipinos from the worsening political and economic problems. Most of these experimental cinema allowed "pene" so don't be surprised if the there were actual "penetration" in this movie.

Produced by Elwood Perez and directed by Ricardo Lee. This experiment was definitely an on your face spit to the only Catholic nation in Asia.

Spiderhole(2010)Thriller/Horror

They say squatting is dead - a term that takes on a sinister double meaning when four homeless art students decide to take up residence in an abandoned London House where a hidden terror lurks.
Molly, together with her three art student friends, embark upon a mission to find an empty house in London, with the view to the living as squatters, free from rent, and free to party. Having found the ideal squat, they break in and go about the merry business of dressing the stark interior to reflect their artistic selves. Darkness pervades their new dwelling place, a darkness through which they discover the full implications of their intrepid choice. A nightmare unfolds that traps the viewer and protagonists alike in a terrifying and unforgiving new reality. Who or what is orchestrating their bloody demise and why? The house appeared to be empty and yet a malevolent force is clearly at work

F (2010) Horror/Thriller

F(2010)Horror/Thriller

 Storyline
A group of teachers must defend themselves from a gang of murderous kids when their school comes under siege after hours.
Well, let's see. Haven't yet made up my mind about my vote, but I guess it'll be made here:

-1 for the plot holes (never learned WHO the hell are these guys)..... -1 for the plot holes (never learned WHY into a college at night, there are just a teacher, his daughter, her boyfriend, a security guard and the headmaster)..... -1 for the plot holes (never learned the true situation between blonde's father and mother)..... +2 for the GREAT atmosphere (even though the film itself made no sense)..... +3 for the music and disturbing breathing at the suspense scenes..... +2 for the character building (which is not something special in this film, but in all its suckness, this element is somewhat better)..... -1 for the worst fake blood I've ever seen (even in a b-movie)..... -1 for the worst acting of 2010 but +1 because Schofield's was kind of sympathetic ...so that leads us to rating this film with a poor 3.

Johannes Roberts would have done a WAY better job if he had had someone else write the script and build a story which would have a logic, a message to give and would make at least a little sense! So, I would recommend this film to someone who's directing his own horror and would like to take ideas on angles, music, dark atmosphere, suspense scenes etc, but by no means would I suggest a normal man go and watch this thing. Go buy Borat instead.
